When you connect the player to your computer, use the USB cable (supplied).
Hint The screen dims while charging. Note If you charge the player when it has not been used for a long period, your computer may not recognize the player, or nothing may appear on the display. Charge the player for about 5 minutes, after which it should start operating normally again. Charge the battery in an ambient temperature of between 5 ºC to 35 ºC (41 ºF to 95 ºF). If you try to charge the battery in an ambient temperature outside this range, the icon may appear, and charging cannot be performed.

Prepare an audio file for which you intend to display lyrics during playback. FM Radio 2. Open Notepad. [All programs] Click [start] Timer [Accessories] [Notepad] to open it. 3. Type lyrics text into Notepad. The screen images are of Windows Vista.
Time information [mm:ss:xx] where mm means minutes, ss means seconds, and xx means hundredths of a second. Enter mm, ss and xx in two digits. Use a colon to separate values. Lyric text line The player recognizes up to 95 characters to display the text line on the screen. If a text line cannot fit in the screen, it will be wrapped (up to 3 lines). Characters beyond 3 lines will not be displayed. You can separate seconds and hundredths of a second by a period instead of a colon.
Notes on creating LRC files The text encoding of LRC files must be UTF-8. An LRC file must have the same file name as the audio file, with extension “.lrc”. Otherwise, the player cannot recognize the LRC file. The maximum size of LRC files is 512 KB. Notes on lyrics text A character string that follows time information at the beginning of the text line is recognized as a lyric text line. Space characters (both 1-byte and 2-byte) immediately following time information will be ignored.

Lyric text line The player recognizes up to 95 characters to display the text line on the screen. If a text line cannot fit in the screen, it will be wrapped (up to 3 lines). Characters beyond 3 lines will not be displayed. You can separate seconds and hundredths of a second by a period instead of a colon.
Notes on creating LRC files The text encoding of LRC files must be UTF-8. An LRC file must have the same file name as the audio file, with extension “.lrc”. Otherwise, the player cannot recognize the LRC file. The maximum size of LRC files is 512 KB. Notes on lyrics text A character string that follows time information at the beginning of the text line is recognized as a lyric text line. Space characters (both 1-byte and 2-byte) immediately following time information will be ignored.

If you transfer data using an appropriate software for transferring, but the transfer is not made, refer to the manufacturer. The transfer takes too long time. You are transferring a large file. It may take a long time to transfer a large file. Only a small amount of data can be transferred to the player. There is not enough free space in the built-in flash memory.
