Editing
You can add fading in/out effects to a file
recorded in the LPCM (.wav) format. Fading
time can be specified for each fading in and
fading out effect.

Select the recorded LPCM (.wav) file
to which you want to add a fading in/
out effect from the HOME menu (page
28).

In play or playback stop mode, press
the OPTION button to display the
OPTION menu, select “Fade” “Fade
In, “Fade Out, or “Fade In/Out, and
then press the
button.

Press and to specify the
fading in or out time in 1 second steps
up to 7 seconds, and press the
button.
To play the fading in/out effect for
confirmation, press
.
When you press the
button, a
confirmation message is displayed.
If you select “Fade In/Out” in step 2, the
setting window for fading out time is
displayed. Repeat the procedures in step 3.

When “Execute?” is displayed, press
and to select “Yes,” and press
the
button.
The file is saved as a new file with the
fading in/out effect.
To cancel fading in/out effects
Press the HOME/BACK button while “Please
wait” appears on the display. “Interrupt
process?” is displayed. Press
and to
select “Yes, and press the
button.
Select “No” in step 4, and press the
button.
Tip
The newly saved file with the fading in/out effect
included is named with a sequential number (eg.,
“_1”) as a suffix.
Notes
You cannot add fade in/out effects to:
Files other than files recorded in the LPCM (.wav)
format.
Files shorter than 20 seconds.
Music files
Depending on the file size, it may take more than 5
minutes to complete fading.
