Dividing a file at the current
position
You can divide a file into two parts while in the
stop mode. When a long recording is made,
you can divide the file to easily find the point
from which you want to play back. Files can
be divided until the total number of files in
the folder reaches the maximum permitted
number.

Select the recorded file that you want
to divide from the HOME menu (page
28).

Stop the file at the position where you
want to divide the file.

Press the OPTION button to display
the OPTION menu, select “Divide”
“Divide at This Position, and then
press the
button.
A period of approximately 4 seconds from
the dividing point will be played back
repeatedly.

Press and to adjust the
position to be divided, if necessary.
You can adjust the position to be divided by
approximately 0.25 seconds in a range of
approximately 6 seconds before and after
the current position.

When “Divide?” is displayed, press
and to select “Yes,” and press
the
button.
The file is divided into two. New file
numbers are added to the divided files.

The file is divided.
Dividing a file at all of the track
mark positions
You can divide a file at all of the track mark
positions.

Select the recorded file that you want
to divide from the HOME menu (page
28).

Press the OPTION button to display
the OPTION menu, select “Divide”
At All Track Marks,” and then press
the
button.

When “Divide at all Track Marks?” is
displayed, press
and to select
“Yes, and press the
button.
The file is divided at all of the track mark
positions. All of the existing track marks in
the files will be erased.
To cancel division
Press the HOME/BACK button while “Please
wait” appears on the display. “Interrupt
process?” is displayed. Press
and to
select “Yes, and press the
button.
