Connect an optional optical digital
audio cable from the digital output
jacks of external digital equipment
to the LINE IN (OPT) jack of the linear
PCM recorder.

Set the INPUT switch to the “LINE”
position.

Press and hold the HOME/BACK
button for 1 second or more, select
“
Settings  “Recording Settings”
 “Digital SYNC REC,” and then press
the
 button.
The “Digital SYNC REC “ window is
displayed.

Press the  and  buttons to select
“OFF,” and press the
 button to fix
the setting.

Follow steps 3 to 6 of “Recording
using the built-in microphones” (page
35).

Start playback on the external
equipment.

Press the  PAUSE (or ) button
when you want to start recording.
The standby for recording mode is released,
and recording starts.
