Selecting the sound effect
You can set the effect you want for the
playback of a selected file.

Select a file you want to play using
the HOME menu (page 27).

In play or playback stop mode, press
the OPTION button to display the
OPTION menu, select “Effect, and
then press the
button.

Press and to select the desired
effect, and then press the
button.
OFF* Disables the effect function.
Pop
Stresses middle ranges, ideal for
vocals.
Rock
Emphasizes high and low ranges
for a powerful sound
Jazz
Emphasizes high ranges for lively
sound.
Bass1
Emphasizes the bass sound.
Bass2
Emphasizes the bass sound even
more.
Custom
You can design your own custom
sound level for 5 bands and for
“CLEAR BASS.
** At the time of purchase, “OFF” is selected.
Customizing the sound level
Select “Custom” in step 3 to display the
custom setting window.
Press
and to select a frequency band
from 400Hz, 1.0kHz, 2.5kHz, 6.3kHz, and
16kHz, and then press
and to adjust the
level. You can adjust in 7 steps from –3 to +3.
To adjust the clear bass level, select “Clear
Bass,” and press
and to adjust the level.
You can adjust the level in 4 steps from 0 to
+3.
When you have finished configuring this
setting, press the
button.
Adjusting the playback tone
(Key Control)
You can adjust the playback sound to
higher or lower semitones in 13 steps. This is
useful for practicing songs to be recorded in
accompaniment.

tone (key control).
The playback tone is adjusted a halftone
higher (#1 - #6).
The playback tone is adjusted a halftone
lower (b1 - b6).
At the time of purchase, “0” is selected.
