triangulating icon is not displayed means that
position information will not be recorded.
The GPS signal may not be received when
indoors or near tall structures. Move to a
location with a clear view of the sky.
The recording of position information may be
interrupted, depending on the strength of the
received signal, even if a triangulating icon is
displayed.
If a GPS signal received is reflected off
buildings or other structures, or the received
GPS signal strength is weak, there may be an
error of up to several hundred meters in the
position information.
Displaying position information using
the data code function
To display recorded position information
during playback, select (DISPLAY
SET) t [DATA CODE] t
[COORDINATES] in the menu.
The latitude and longitude appear in the
bottom left of the screen.

•[--° --' --" -] is displayed when shooting if a GPS
signal cannot be received.

Acquired information symbols
When position information cannot be
received, triangulation priority mode is
activated. All other functions stop and the
camcorder searches for satellites, making
it easier to receive position information.
To receive position information manually,
press the [Update] button.
To close the GPS information screen,
press .
Maintains accurate time by acquiring time
information using GPS.
