Introduction Thank you for purchasing the NW-E013/E015/E016/E013F/E015F/E016F*. To begin using the player, first import music songs into your computer using the SonicStage software, and then transfer them to the player. After transferring the music songs to the player, you can enjoy them wherever you go. Be sure to install the “SonicStage” software from the supplied CD-ROM in your computer.
Getting Started Supplied Items Charging the battery Check the following items. The player’s battery is recharged while the player is connected to a running computer. Remove the USB cap and connect the USB connector to a USB port on your computer. Getting Started (continued) Installing SonicStage When installation is not successful Install SonicStage according to the following instructions. Install SonicStage and the Operation Guide (PDF file) following the instructions. If SonicStage is already installed, it will be overwritten. All functions and audio data from the previous installation will be preserved on the new installation. We recommended to backup data with SonicStage.
Importing Music For details, refer to SonicStage Help Import audio data to your computer using the SonicStage. Be sure to use SonicStage when transferring songs (audio data) to the player. Parts and Controls (continued) Rear HOLD switch You can protect the player against accidental operation by using the HOLD switch when carrying it. By sliding the HOLD switch in the direction of the arrow (), all operation buttons are disabled. If you press buttons while the HOLD function is activated, “HOLD” appears in the display. If you slide the HOLD switch to the opposite position, the HOLD function is released.
About the HOME menu The HOME menu appears when you press and hold the /HOME button of the player. The HOME menu is the starting point to play audio, search for songs, and change settings.
