Check [Standby Linked to TV] in the [HDMI Setup] menu.
If you want the receiver to turn off when the TV is turned off regardless of the input of the receiver, set
[Standby Linked to TV] to [On]. The TV must support the Control for HDMI function. For details, refer to the
operating instructions of your TV.
Set [Control for HDMI] to [On] in the [HDMI Setup] menu. The TV must support the Control for HDMI
function. For details, refer to the operating instructions of your TV.

No image appears on the TV screen.
Select the appropriate input using the input buttons.
Set your TV to the appropriate input mode.
Assign the video input (HDMI, COMPONENT or VIDEO IN) correctly.
When you are upconverting input signals using the receiver, use the same type of output signals as input
signals.
Make sure that cables are correctly and securely connected to devices.
Set [HDMI Signal Format] for the selected HDMI IN jack except HDMI IN 6 (GAME) jack on STR-
ZA3100ES/STR-ZA2100ES to [Standard format] in the [HDMI Setup] menu.
Some playback devices need to be set up. Refer to the operating instructions supplied with each device.
Be sure to use a High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet when you view images or listen to sound, especially
for 1080p, Deep Color (Deep Colour), 4K or 3D transmission. Premium High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet
that supports 18 Gbps is required for 4K/60p 4:4:4, 4:2:2 and 4K/60p 4:2:0 10 bit etc.
The output of the HDMI video signals of the receiver may be set to [HDMI OUT OFF]. In this case, set to
[HDMI OUT A], [HDMI OUT B], or [HDMI OUT A + B]. You can only select [HDMI OUT B] or [HDMI OUT
A+B] when [HDMI Out B Mode] is set to [Main].
If you want to play HDCP 2.2 content, connect the receiver to an HDMI input jack of a TV that supports
HDCP 2.2.

No 3D content appears on the TV screen.
Depending on the TV or the video device, 3D content may not be displayed. Check the HDMI video formats
supported by the receiver.
Be sure to use a High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet.

No 4K content appears on the TV screen.
Depending on the TV or the video device, 4K content may not be displayed. Check the video capability and
settings of your TV and video device.
Be sure to use a High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet.
When you use high bandwidth video formats such as 4K/60p 4:4:4, 4:2:2 and 4K/60p 4:2:0 10 bit, we
recommend you to use a Premium High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet that supports 18 Gbps.
If your TV has similar menu for high bandwidth video format, check the setting on the TV menu when you
set [HDMI Signal Format] to [Enhanced format] on this receiver. For details on the setting of the TV menu,
refer to the operating instructions of the TV.
