This Quick Start Guide provides you with instructions to connect the access point and do the initial configuration.

2. Mounting and Connection For instructions on how to mount your access point, please see section Mounting Instructions at the end of this Quick Start Guide or the Operating Instructions under www.sophos.com/get-started-ap. Warning: This equipment has a separate protective earthing terminal on the chassis which must be permanently connected to earth ground to adequately ground the chassis and protect the operator from electrical hazards.
Sophos Firewall or Router Sophos Firewall or Router PoE Switch Switch Access Point PoE Injector Access Point Connect the LAN (PoE) port of the access point to a PoE switch or PoE injector using an RJ45 Ethernet cable. NOTE: The power supply cord(s) of the PoE injector or PoE Switch must be plugged into socketoutlet(s) with earthing connection" The access point will now boot and try to receive an IP address via DHCP (either from the Sophos firewall or another DHCP server in your network).
4. LEDs Status Off Off AP is off or reboot started Green Solid Normal operation Flashing AP is booting & connecting to wireless controller* Solid AP has no connection to the wireless controller Flashing AP is not claimed by wireless controller Solid Error, no wireless controller found. 5. Access Point Reboot & Reset Reboot with current image and configuration 1. Press reset button 2. Release reset button 3. AP reboots (Status LED will go off, then will turn to solid green) Reboot with current image and clear configuration 1. Press and hold reset button 2. AP reboots (Status LED will go off and then switch to green briefly) 3. Status LED will turn solid red for 5 sec.
Mounting Instructions There are various mounting options available allowing you to hang your access point on the wall or mount it to a pole. Both options require the use of the mounting bracket which is shipped with your access point. The following sections provide detailed instructions on each of these options.
Wall mount 1. Use the mounting bracket to mark the screw mounting positions on the wall 2. Attach the access point to the bracket by hanging the 4 forge posts into the attachment slots of the bracket and pressing it down. 3. Pole Mount 1. Attach the two metal clamps to the back of the mounting bracket using the vertical or horizontal mounting slots (according to the desired orientation). 2. Hold the bracket against the pole and tighten the metal clamps. 3. Attach the access point to the bracket by hanging the 4 forge posts into the attachment slots of the bracket and pressing it down. 4. 2. Warnung: Dieses Gerät hat einen separaten Schutzerdungsanschluss am Gehäuse, der ständig mit der Erde verbunden sein muss, um das Gehäuse richtig zu erden und die Bedienperson vor elektrischen Gefahren zu schützen. Die Installation der Erdung muss von qualifiziertem Servicepersonal vorgenommen werden.
Sophos Firewall oder Router Sophos Firewall oder Router PoE-Switch Switch Access Point PoEInjektor Access Point Verbinden Sie den LAN-Anschluss (PoE) Ihres Access Points über ein RJ45-Ethernet-Kabel mit einem PoE-Switch oder PoE-Injektor. HINWEIS: Das/die Netzkabel des PoE-Injectors oder des PoE-Switches müssen an eine/mehrere Steckdose(en) mit Erdungsanschluss angeschlossen werden.
4. Montageanleitung Sie können zwischen unterschiedlichen Montagemöglichkeiten wählen und Ihren Access Point an der Wand oder an einer Stange befestigen. Für beide Möglichkeiten wird die mitgelieferte Montagehalterung benötigt. In den folgenden Abschnitten finden Sie detaillierte Anweisungen für jede dieser Möglichkeiten.
Wandmontage 1. Zeichnen Sie die Schraubenpositionen mit Hilfe der Montagehalterung an der Wand an. 2. Befestigen Sie den Access Point an der Halterung, indem Sie die vier Befestigungspunkte in die entsprechenden Öffnungen in der Halterung einführen und andrücken. 3. Attention ! Ce matériel est équipé d’une prise de terre séparée sur le châssis. Ce dernier doit impérativement être raccordé à la terre en permanence pour protéger l’opérateur contre les accidents électriques.

Fixation sur un poteau 1. Attachez les deux colliers métalliques sur l’arrière du support de fixation en utilisant les encoches verticales ou horizontales (selon l’orientation désirée). 2.
