Filling with gas
(Recommendation: Use SOTO's OD-TRC, Fill Adaptor to fill with gas.
Gas lighter cartridge may also be used to refill.)
1. Turn bottom of the unit up. Insert tip section of the Fill Adaptor and push
lightly to fill with gas. Filling takes a few seconds.
2. Watch for any leakage of gas after filled.
※Never fill product near a heat source.
※Always fill product with gas when cartridge is empty.
How to use the product
1. Press center of igniter forward with thumb. Press igniter down with
thumb and ignite the flame. When not ignited, repeat this process slowly.
2. Adjust the Ignition control dial to find the most suitable ignition position.
3. Release the button to extinguish the flame.
4. Hold burner head knob when sliding out or retracting the burner head.
When extinguishing the flame, there may be a delay before the flame
completely extinguishes. Stow unit after the flame is completely
extinguished and cooled off. If a delay is encountered when extinguishing
the flame, turn the flame adjusting dial clockwise (toward the minus
position) to adjust fuel output. Remember to adjust dial after the unit is
completely extinguished and cooled off. The unit may not ignite under
colder temperatures or altitudes above 5,000ft./1,500m.
Cautions and Warnings
1. Never ignite the Pocket Torch XT when it is facing any part of your body.
Failure to comply with this warning may cause serious burns or damage
to your body. Do not use this unit as a cigarette lighter.
CAUTION: Flame may be hard to see.
2. When stowing the unit, avoid direct sunlight and all heat sources.
3. Be sure to stow the unit after completely extinguished.
4. Never disassemble or modify the unit. Never try to fix the unit when
broken. Such actions may cause serious damage to your body or may
cause a fire. Never use this unit with other products or parts. Failure to
follow these instructions may void the warranty.
Tip section of the Pocket Torch XT can be extremely hot during and after
use. Always keep the hot tip section away from your body. Be sure to
hold burner head knob when sliding out or retracting the burner head.
Continuous use of the unit is a maximum of 30 second.
Never use the unit continuously for more than 30 second. Use of the
unit for more than 30 second may overheat the burner head which
may cause burns to the body or deformation and breakage of the unit.
