A set of four Layers is saved with every console Snapshot. In the Edit Cue Menu (section 9.2.1) a Fade
Time settting is available to determine how long a lighting transition takes from one Cue to another, and
Cue Type can be set to Audio And DMX, Audio Only, or DMX Only.
DMX Masters and DMX ‘Slaves’ (Channels) are available seperately in the Isolate parameter list (see 9.1).
FaderGlow White is used for DMX Control faders (Note - white is also used for linked Mono Input
Channels).
With an appropriate Control Channel selected (SEL button), the OUTPUTS & DMX Touch Screen Menu will
allow you to rename a DMX Channel (‘DMX Channel Name’) or Master (‘DMX Master Name’) .
DMX 512 Addresses
Each Layer of DMX Chanel faders are hard patched to the corresponding DMX Channel numbers, with the
Mono/SEL fader used as the DMX Master for that Layer.
In other words:
- Si Performer 1 has 14 faders on each layer (4 x 1-14), hard-patched to DMX channels 1-14, plus a Master
Fader for each Layer(DMX Masters A-D).
- Si Performer 2 has 22 faders on each layer (4 x 1-22), hard-patched to DMX channels 1-22, plus a Master
Fader for each Layer (DMX Masters A-D).
- Si Performer 3 has 30 faders on each layer (4 x 1-30), hard-patched to DMX channels 1-30, plus a Master
Fader for each Layer (DMX Masters A-D)
DMX Output
The Console’s Physical DMX Output is a standard Female XLR-5 connector on the rear panel.
The console’s single DMX output for each channel is determined by the highest value for any one channel
across the four layers - calculated by multiplying the channel fader level by the DMX Master level.
To explain, if Fader 1 on Layer A was at 50% and DMX Master A was at 50%, then the DMX Channel 1
output from Layer A would be 25% (50% of 50%). If Fader 1 on Layer B was at 50% and DMX Master B
was at 100% and, then the DMX Channel 1 output from Layer B would be 50% (100% of 50%). Of the two,
Layer B has the highest output (50% versus 25%), so that would take precedence and would be the
console’s DMX Channel 1 output value.
ALT + FADER LAYER BUTTON
Select a DMX Fader Layer.
Hold the ALT button and press a FADER button A-D to choose a DMX Fader Layer. The Mono/Sel Control Channel
will be the DMX master for that layer..
