TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE
If you experience difficulties in the use of this music system, please check the followings.
Symptom
Possible Cause

Radio
Noise or sound distorted on AM
or FM broadcasts.
Station not tuned properly f
or AM or
FM
Retune the AM or FM broadcast station.
FM: Wire antenna is not extended.
Extend FM Wire antenna.
AM: The bar antenna is not
positioned correctly.
Reposition the unit until best reception is
obtained.
FM STEREO does not appear on
display.
Y
ou have tuned to a mono station or
station too weak.
Select another FM station.
AM or FM, no sound.
Unit not at Tuner function, AM or
FM band.
Press Tuner Function button to select AM
or FM.
Volume at minimum.
Increase Volume.
Compact Disc Player
CD P
layer will not play.
Unit not in CD function mode.
Press CD Function button.
CD is not installed incorrectly.
Insert CD with label side up.
CD skips while playing.
Disc is dirty or scratched.
Wipe disc with cloth or use another disc.

Power to external source (CD,
VCR etc) not switched on

(CD, VCR etc) is incorrect: e.g.
RCA plug may have been
inserted to AUDIO IN of
external source.
Master Volume is at minimum.
Switch on the power of the external

Reconnect the RCA Plug to the
AUDIO OUT of the external source.
