Important safeguards
The Instruction manual contains important operating and maintenance instructions. For your safety, it is necessary to
refer the manual. Keep the manual for use in future.
Do not hit or drop the unit.
Do not expose the unit to vibration, direct sunlight, too high or low temperature or humidity.
If you are not going to use the unit within a long period of time, remove the batteries to avoid their leakage.
Do not use the unit near TV sets, computers, fluorescent lamps and other electric equipment; this may jam MW and SW
reception.
Do not disassemble the unit yourselves. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel.
Power supply
Battery operation
Open the battery compartment cover. Insert 2 AA batteries. Please observe correct battery polarities or the unit will not
work. Close the battery compartment cover.
When the batteries are exhausted, they should be replaced.
Do not use new and old batteries together.
Note: When replacing batteries, the stored information will be lost.
External power
Use output DC 3V 300 mA regulating external direct current power. Check the positive and negative of the plug.
Setting the clock
Set the power switch to OFF position. After installing batteries in the state of clock “12:00” appears on the LCD.
Keep TIME SET button pressed; press repeatedly HOUR button to set hours. Press MIN button to set minutes.
The clock will be displayed on the LCD when the power switch is set to OFF position.
Note: The 12 hours system is used in the unit. The AM on the display screen indicates morning time, PM indicates afternoon time.
Radio operation
Power switch
Set the power switch to ON position to turn on the radio. Set the power switch to OFF position to turn off the radio; the time
will be displayed.
Adjust volume
In receiving state, rotate volume regulator to adjust the volume.
