YOUR NEW HIGH FIDELITY BRIDGEABLE/STEREO AMPLIFIER IS DESIGNED TO DELIVER MAXIMUM ENJOYMENT AND ONE YEAR OF TROUBLE FREE SERVICE. Table of contents TABLE OF CONTENTS ................................................................................................................................................. 2 FEATURES.................................................................................................................................................................... 3 PRECAUTIONS:..........
Features Class ''AB'' Technology MOSFET PWM Power Supply. Remote turn-on of the amplifier via car radio Continuously Variable 12dB/Octave High Pass & 12dB/Octave Low Pass Crossover. Enhanced Bass Boost 0/12dB @50Hz Regulator for input sensitivity Bridgeable 2-/1-channel Gold Plated RCA & Power, Speaker Terminal. Soft Start & Muting. Capsulated screw terminals of loudspeaker and power supply Overload, Thermal, Short Circuit Protection. Power & Protection indicator.
Make sure that the mounting screws will not penetrate the gas tank, brake and fuel lines, wiring or other critical parts of your car when installed. NEVER operate the amplifier without the proper power and ground wire 8 gauge minimum. NEVER operate the amplifier without proper fusing. Fuse holder must be located with in 0.5 meters from the battery. This fuse is to protect the car not the electronics. In case of a short, the fuse will blow instead of the wire burning up.
Installation MOUNTING: 1. After reading precaution, decide where you are going to install the unit. Also, see the picture below. 2. Once the location has been determined, place the amplifier in position. Using a felt tip pen or pencil mark the four holes to be drilled for mounting. NEVER use the amplifier as a template for drilling. It is very easy to damage the amplifier surface in manner. 3. Remove amplifier. Drill four 3.5 mm. Diameter holes into mounting surface on steel panel.
Connections POWER SUPPLY AND REMOTE TURN-ON OF THE AMPLIFIER NOTE: Do not connect the plus terminals to the car battery before other connections, or it may occur short circuit. The gauges of power cables should be enough for the power amplifier demands at least 8mm2. The + 12V DC and ground cables should be at least 8mm2. Firstly connect the GROUND terminal to the battery negative pole. It is very important that the connection is fastened.
Operation elements and in / outputs SETTING THE INPUT AND SENSITIVITY The regulator for input sensitivity is used to adapt amplifier for each car radio or tape deck. Turn the volume control of your radio to central position and adjust the input-level control (5) Fig. 6, to produce medium volume. This setting can provide sufficient power and optimum Signal to Noise (S/N) ratio. CAUTION: Do not run the amplifier in high volume for long time, otherwise the loudspeakers will be damaged.
FIG. 2 POWER SUPPLY/REMOTE TURN-ON CONNECTION (1) Terminal for +12V battery voltage (2) REM terminal for remote turn-on (3) GND terminal for the ground, to the battery negative pole (4) Battery (5) Cable fuse (6) Remote turn-on line If your car is not equipped with Remote turn-on line connection, connect this cable plus pole (+) to the ignition lock. An on/off switch should be inserted in this case. Make sure that this switch is turned off if the amplifier is not used. Fig.
FIG. 3 STEREO MODE Connect and set the amplifier as shown in Fig. 3, when the stereo has two outputs and the unit is used to drive two loudspeakers. The high-pass filter must be activated if the amplifier drives satellite loudspeakers. See section HIGH-PASS FILTER WITH ADJUSTABLE CROSS-OVER FREQUENCY to catch how to regulate the high pass filter. FIG. 4 BRIDGE MODE WITH STEREO CAR RADIO If the amplifier needs high power output to drive a subwoofer, connect and set it as shown in Fig. 4. (1) To the car radio, left output (2) To the car radio, right output (3) Subwoofer Fig. 4 Note: if you want to use the amplifier in monaural system, comply with above illustration to connect and choose the CROSSOVER to LPF. The output signals to the subwoofer will be a combination of both the right and left output signals.
FIG. 5 DUAL MODE SYSTEM (1) To the car radio, left output (2) To the car radio, right output (3) Loudspeaker left (4) Loudspeaker right (5) To the subwoofer Fig. 5 Note: if you want to use the amplifier in dual mode system, connect the speakers as illustrated above and switch the CROSSOVER to OFF. The output signals to the amplifier will be stereo of the right and left output signals and the subwoofer will be a combination of both the right and left output signals.
FIG. 6 OPERATING ELEMENTS AND IN/OUTPUTS 1.CROSSOVER There are 3 optional modes for the CROSSOVER: HPF, OFF, LPF. 2.HPF adjusts the high pass frequency point from 30Hz to 5kHz. 3.LPF adjusts the low pass frequency point from 30Hz to 250Hz. 4.BASS BOOST controls the volume of50Hz boost from 0dB-12dB. 5.LEVEL adjusts the input gain of the unit to accept different level of signal inputs. 6.INPUT (L) accepts the line level RCA inputs from the left channel of a head unit or other signal processor. 7.
Trouble Shooting Guide Before you consult this listing, make sure the vehicle’s electrical system is working properly by verifying that other electrical items (e. g. headlights, Windows, etc.) still function correctly. SYMPTOM No audio PROBABLE CAUSE Low or N.C.
