CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Remove old shower head from the shower arm.
Clean the threads on the shower arm. There can be
some residual thread sealing tape or mineral
deposits on the arm, which can be cleaned off
using mild soap and water and/or an old tooth-
brush.
Wrap the white teflon tape tightly around the
shower pipe evenly for 4 to 5 wraps clockwise.
Screw the new shower head onto the end of the
shower pipe threads in a clockwise direction. Hand
tighten only.
Turn on the water and check for leaks. If leaks
occur, shut of the water and tighten the shower
head further.
Dilemma 1.
No water flow from installed shower head.
Quick fix: Confirm previous shower washer is not
in the j-pipe.
Further: Confirm that there is only one washer
and that it isn't in the pivot ball.
Dilemma 2.
Low water pressure or missing spray patterns.
Quick fix: Clean shower head in vinegar/ water
solution (See care & cleaning section)
Further: Clean the water filter.
Dilemma 3. Leaking at large nut connection.
Quick fix: Confirm only one washer is seated on
top of the water filter.
Further: Grate bar of soap across the j-pipe
threads to act as a sealant.
Alternative: Confirm water filter is firmly seated
in nut.
Dilemma 4. Shower head is too tight to change angle.
Quick fix: Reinstall shower head to provide
additional leverage to change angle of spray.
To maintain proper working conditions, Cleaning
your shower head is required when mineral deposits
appear on the spray orifices. To clean mineral depos-
its, gently rub the rubber nozzles on the face of the
shower head to dislodge.
To clean heavier deposits on your shower head,
remove shower head and soak face down in 1-2 cups
of white vinegar (use white vinegar only) for about
2-3 hours.
Do not clean or rinse any part with harsh chemicals,
heavy duty cleaners, or abrasives; this may damage
the parts or the finish.
