PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATIONS
Per ICC-ES Report No. ESR-1782
1 Main and side member must be wood having a minimum specific gravity of 0.55 for Southern Pine, 0.50 for Douglas-Fir, and 0.43 for Hem-Fir and Spruce-Pine-Fir.
2 Reference withdrawal and head pull-through design values must be multiplied by all applicable adjustment factors in accordance with Section 10.3 of the NDS.
3 Reference withdrawal design values are to be multiplied by the length of thread penetration into the side grain of the main member. Length includes tip.
4 Values for withdrawal design values are from the main member, and head pull-through design values are based on a minimum 1-1/2˝ side member thickness.
5 Reference head pull-through design values are based on the lesser value for Hex Washer Head or T-Star Washer Head styles.

NOTE:
When comparing published performance data of comparable structural fasteners, one should pay close attention that the load capacities are
shown as either “allowable” or “ultimate” values to ensure an accurate comparison.
For your convenience, the performance specifications listed in
the chart above are the “allowable load” that can be applied to determine the acceptable working load for the respective diameter SPAX PowerLag.
These values are calculated by applying a safety factor to the “average ultimate load capacity” obtained from laboratory testing.
