DIRECTIONS FOR USE

It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. For

outdoor residential use only.

Do not allow people or pets to touch treated plants until the sprays have dried.

APPLICATION RESTRICTIONS

Do not apply this product in a way that will contact any person or pet, either directly or through

drift. Only persons applying this product may be in the area during application.

HOW TO USE

Spectracide

Weed & Grass Killer

is pre-mixed and ready to use and is formulated for “spot”

treatment of weeds and grasses. Use it on driveways and walkways, or around fences, trees,

flower beds, shrubs and other areas in your yard.

1. For the initial use, remove the tie that is securing the handle to the base of the pump.

2. Remove the wand from the holster and pull the hose from the storage compartment.

3. Make sure the sprayer wand is securely tightened to the spray handle.

4. Turn the pump handle clockwise to tightly seal the pump to the bottle and unlock the pump

handle for pumping.

5. Raise the pump handle from the bottle and pump until you begin to feel resistance.

6. Secure the pump handle for carrying by pushing the handle into the base of the pump and turn

the handle counterclockwise one quarter turn to lock.

7. Begin spraying by pushing down on the spray handle trigger.

8. Rotate the nozzle at the tip of the wand to adjust the spray from a direct spray to a broadcast

mist.

9. For continuous spray, push the trigger down and slide it forward to lock. Slide the trigger back

to release it from the lock position.

Note: If sprayer does not function properly, remove nozzle cover and check nozzle and holes in

rubber component for obstructions. Replace nozzle cover and use as instructed above.

HOW TO APPLY

• Completely wet the leaves of the target vegetation. Do not overspray.

• Sprayed plants begin yellowing and wilting in about 24 hours, with complete kill, including the

roots, in one to two weeks.

• Protect desirable plants with a piece of plastic or cardboard.

• If desirable plants are accidentally sprayed, wash plants with water immediately.

• Do not mow, cut or otherwise disturb treated vegetation for at least seven days following

application.

• Do not use on or around edible feed or food crops.

WHEN TO APPLY

• For best results, apply during warm, sunny weather (above 60°F) when weeds are actively

growing and no rain is forecast for 24 hours. Rainfall or watering 15 minutes after application

will not wash away effectiveness.

• To avoid drift to desirable plants, apply when the air is calm.

Not recommended for spot weed treatment in established lawns since lawn grasses will also

be killed.

WHEN TO REPLANT

• All ornamental flowers, trees and shrubs may be planted one day after application.

LAWN RENOVATION/REPLACEMENT

• Determine size of area to be treated — measure length and width in feet, then multiply to

determine coverage area in square feet (length x width).

• Use Spectracide

Weed & Grass Killer

to kill the old lawn and existing weeds and grasses.

• For best results, apply in spring or fall, when daytime temperatures are at least 60°F.

• Under dry conditions, water lawn every other day for a week before applying Spectracide Weed

& Grass Killer

• Do not mow for seven days before or after treatment.

• 1.33 gal treats 390 sq ft.

TIPS FOR REPLANTING

• Wait seven days after last application to rake, till or replant with seed or sod.

• Rake up and remove loosened thatch or debris.

• Mix in starter fertilizer and soil amendments, if needed. Level the soil.

• Apply seed according to directions on seed package, or install sod. Grass seed must have

good contact with soil to germinate and grow.

• Keep area moist for two weeks to establish new lawn, then water as needed.

measure and mix 7 fl oz (14 Tbsp) in one gallon of water. Replace and tightly close cap.

Wipe off any spilled product.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL

Pesticide Storage: Slowly turn the pump handle counterclockwise to loosen the pump

mechanism from the bottle to release pressure. Turn the handle back clockwise to seal the

unit for storage. Turn the handle counterclockwise one quarter turn to lock the handle. Push

the hose back into the storage compartment. Place the wand back in the holster. Store this

product in its original container in a secure storage area. Pesticide Disposal: If empty:

Nonrefillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container unless the directions for use

allow a different (concentrated) product to be diluted in the container. Place in trash or offer

for recycling if available. If partly lled: Call your local solid waste agency for disposal

instructions. Never place unused product down any indoor or outdoor drain.

contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwaters.

Cómo usar

El Herbicida para pasto y maleza

de Spectracide

está formulado para el tratamiento localizado de malezas y pastos y viene

premezclado y listo para usar. Úselo en los caminos de entrada de automóviles y senderos, o alrededor de cercas, árboles,

lechos de flores, arbustos y otras zonas en su jardín.

1. Para usar por primera vez, retire la traba que une el asa a la base de la bomba.

2. Retire la varilla del soporte y jale la manguera para retirarla del compartimiento donde está guardada.

3. Asegúrese de que la varilla para rociar esté bien conectada al asa para rociar.

4. Gire el asa de la bomba en sentido de las manecillas del reloj para que la bomba y la botella queden unidas

herméticamente y destrabe el asa de la bomba para bombear.

5. Levante el asa de la bomba desde la botella y comience a bombear hasta que sienta resistencia.

6. Para transportar, asegure el asa presionándola para colocarla en la base de la bomba y gire el asa en sentido contrario al

de las manecillas del reloj un cuarto de giro para trabar.

7. Comience a aplicar el rocío presionando hacia abajo el gatillo del asa para rociar.

8. Gire la boquilla en el extremo de la varilla para ajustar el rocío, desde un rocío directo a una niebla al voleo.

9. Para lograr un rocío continuo, presione hacia abajo el gatillo y deslícelo hacia adelante para trabar. Deslice el gatillo hacia atrás

para destrabar.

Nota: Si el rociador no funciona bien, retire la cubierta de la boquilla y verifique que no haya obstrucciones en la boquilla ni en

los orificios del componente de goma/hule. Coloque nuevamente la cubierta de la boquilla y use como se indica más arriba.

CÓMO APLICAR

• Moje completamente las hojas de la vegetación que tiene como objetivo. No rocíe en exceso.

• Las plantas que se rociaron empiezan a ponerse amarilla y marchitarse en un plazo de 24 horas y la eliminación completa,

incluyendo las raíces, tiene lugar en una a dos semanas.

• Proteja todas las plantas deseables con un trozo de plástico o cartón.

• Si las plantas deseables se rocían accidentalmente, lávelas inmediatamente con agua.

• No pode, corte, ni altere de ninguna otra manera a la vegetación tratada durante por lo menos siete días después de la

CUÁNDO APLICAR

de Spectracide

. Quite la tapa. Mida y mezcle

cuidadosamente 7 onz. líq. (14 cdas. soperas) en 1 galón de agua. Coloque la tapa de nuevo y ciérrela herméticamente. Limpie

cualquier resto de producto que se haya derramado.

ALMACENAMIENTO Y ELIMINACIÓN

Almacenamiento del pesticida: Gire lentamente el asa de la bomba en sentido contrario al de las manecillas del reloj para

separar el mecanismo de la bomba de la botella para liberar la presión. Gire el asa en sentido de las manecillas del reloj para

cerrar herméticamente la unidad para almacenarla. Gire el asa en sentido contrario al de las manecillas del reloj un cuarto de giro

para trabarla. Presione la manguera para colocarla en el compartimiento. Coloque la varilla nuevamente en el soporte. Guarde

este producto en su envase original en un lugar de almacenamiento seguro. Eliminación del pesticida: Si está vacío: Envase no

rellenable. No vuelva a usar ni a rellenar este envase a menos que las instrucciones de uso permitan que un producto

(concentrado) diferente se diluya en el envase. Tírelo en la basura u ofrézcalo para reciclar, si existe esa opción. Si está

parcialmente vacío: Llame a su servicio de eliminación de desechos más cercano para obtener instrucciones de eliminación.

Nunca tire el producto sin usar por ningún drenaje interno ni externo.

6. Secure the pump handle for carrying by pushing the handle

counterclockwise one quarter turn to lock.

7. BEGIN SPRAYING by pushing down on the spray handle

trigger. (Fig. C)

8. ROTATE THE NOZZLE AT THE TIP of the wand to adjust

the spray from a direct spray to a broadcast mist. (Fig. D)

9. For continuous spray, push the trigger down and slide it

forward to lock. SLIDE THE TRIGGER BACK TO RELEASE it

from the lock position.
