Out of Range
The out of range indicator appears when handset is moving out of or already is out of range of
base station.
Turn Out of Range On/Off:
1 Press Menu to enter main menu.
2 Scroll to Settings and press Select.
3 Scroll to Out of range and press Select.
4 Scroll to On or Off and press Change.
Changing Out of Range Settings
The handset offers two types of out of range alerts:
• Icon only
• Tone (beep) + icon
With the out of range indicator turned on:
• If handset is moving out of range, the low signal icon will appear in display.
• If the handset gets out of range, the no signal icon will appear in display. If tone + icon is
selected, beeps will appear with short intervals as long as the handset is out of range.
Change Out of Range Settings:
1 Press Menu to enter main menu.
2 Scroll to Settings and press Select.
3 Scroll to Out of range and press Select.
4 Scroll to Settings and press Change.
5 Scroll to the desired alert and press Select.
Note
When the handset has been outside the coverage area, it can take up to 30
seconds before the handset is back on the system after re-entering
coverage area.
