Before Initial Use: Before using the ice maker for the first time or after a long idle period, it is strongly recommended to clean it thoroughly: 1. Be sure unit is powered off and unplugged. Clean the water reservoir with diluted mild detergent and warm water solution. 2. Drain the water by removing the drain plug. 3. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and drain. 4. Rinse thoroughly before restarting. Keep ventilation openings in the appliance enclosure, clear of obstruction.
