Installation Choosing The Right Location Recommend Installation 50cm 19.7inch Your installation location should meet the following requirements: -Make sure that you install your unit on an even surface to minimize noise and vibration. -The unit must be installed near a grounded plug, and the bottom tray drain outlet (found on the back of the unit) must be accessible. -The unit should be located at least 30cm (12”) from the nearest wall to ensure proper air ventilation.
Installation Tools Needed Window Installation Kit Step One: Preparing the Exhaust Hose assembly -Medium Philips screwdriver; -Tape measure or ruler; -Knife or scissors; -Saw (optional, to shorten window adaptor for narrow windows) Accessories Press the exhaust hose into the window slider adaptor and unit adaptor, clamp automatically by elastic buckles of the adaptors. Your Window Installation Kit fits windows 67.5-123cm(26.5-48”) and can be shortened for smaller windows.
Installation Note: Once the Exhaust Hose assembly and Adjustable Window Slider are prepared, choose from one of the following two installation methods. Type 1: Hung Window Installation Foam seal B (Adhesive type-shorter) Window slider A Insert the window slider adaptor into the hole of the window slider. Window slider B (if required) Foam seal A (Adhesive type) Cut the adhesive foam seal A and B strips to the proper lengths, and attach them to the window sash and frame as shown.
Installation Foam seal C (Non-adhesive type) Security Bracket 2 Screws Cut the non-adhesive foam seal C strip to match the window height. Insert the foam seal between the glass and the window frame to prevent air and insects from getting into the room. If desired, install the security bracket with 2 screws as shown. Insert the window slider adaptor into the hole of the window slider. Note: To ensure proper function, DO NOT overextend or bend the hose.
Operation MODE button Selects the appropriate operating mode. Each time you press the button, a mode is selected in a sequence that goes from COOL, FAN and DRY .The mode indicator light illuminates under the different mode setting. NOTE: On above modes, the unit operates the fan speed automatically. You can set fan speed only by the remote controller on COOL and FAN modes.
Operation Operation Instructions AUTO-RESTART If the unit breaks off unexpectedly due to the power cut,it will restart with the previous function setting automatically when the power resumes. COOL operation -Press the "MODE" button until the "COOL" indicator light comes on. -Press the ADJUST buttons "+" or "-" to select your desired room temperature. The temperature can be set within a range of 17°C~30°C/62°F~86°F. -Press the "FAN SPEED" button on the remote cotroller to choose the fan speed.
Operation Handling the remote controller Location of the remote controller Water drainage -During dehumidifying modes, remove the drain plug from the back of the unit, install the drain connector(5/8" universal female mender) with 3/4" hose(locally purchased). For the models without drain connector, just attach the drain hose to the hole. Place the open end of the hose directly over the drain area in your basement floor.

Battery leakage may occur and damage the remote. - Keep the remote controller away from all liquids. - Protect the remote controller from high temperatures and direct sunlight. - Keep controller away from EMI (Electro-Magnetic Interference) supplied by other appliances. 1. Operation 6. FAN SPEED Button Press to select the fan speed in three steps: LOW - MED - HIGH. Transmission Indicator Indicator lights up whenever remote is transmitting signals to the AC unit. 7. TIMER Button Used to program TIMER ON or TIMER OFF. Mode Indicator Indicates the current operating mode: Cool 8. CANCEL Button Applies to Timer settings: - If Timer On, Timer On-Off or Timer Off-On feature has been set, pressing the Cancel button will override the Timer program and turn off unit.
Operation DRY (Dehumidifying) operation Ensure the unit is plugged in and power is available. 1. Press the MODE button to select DRY mode. 2. Press the / button to set desired temperature. 3. If the unit is off, press ON/OFF button to start operation. Press ON/OFF button again to stop operation. Setting the Clock Set the clock before you start operating the air conditioner. The clock will be displayed on the remote control panel regardless if air conditioner is in use or not. 1.
Operation Examples of Timer Setting Fig.24 Fig.25 TIMER-ON: this feature is useful when you want the unit to automatically turn on at a certain time (like before you return home from work). Example, start AC in 8 hours: 1. Press the TIMER button until the Timer-On indicator is displayed and setting time is flashing. 2. Press / button until “8.0” is displayed. 3. Release / button and wait for 3 seconds. The set time stops flashing, timer is set. Fig.
Maintenance Clean the Unit WARNING: Clean the unit using a damp, lint-free cloth and mild detergent. Dry the unit with a dry, lint-free cloth. -Always unplug the unit before cleaning or servicing. -DO NOT use flammable liquids or chemicals to clean the unit. -DO NOT wash the unit under running water. Doing so causes electrical danger. -DO NOT operate the machine if the power supply was damaged during cleaning. A damaged power cord must be replaced with a new cord from the manufacturer.
