3. Rotate control rod and insert into adjustment

handle, Figure 3. Remove one nut from end

of control rod. Insert control rod into pivot

and bracket assembly as shown, Figure 3.

Note orientation of bracket. Install second nut

ﬁnger tight only.

Ensure rate gate opens and closes fully. If so,

hold the upper control rod nut with wrench

and tighten the bottom nut only.

4. Tighten nuts and bolts on both sides of

spreader at locations shown.
