Activate channel scanning

1. Push the MENU key five times: SC is displayed and the channel

number is flashing.

2. Start the scanning by means of the sort key.

Deactivate channel scanning

To deactivate scanning you push the PTT key: scanning will stop and

SC is no longer displayed.

Activate CTCSS scanning

1. Push the MENU key six times: SC and CTCSS 00 are flashing.

2 Start the scanning by means of the sort key.

Deactivate CTCSS scanning

To deactivate scanning you push the PTT key: scanning will stop and

SC and CTCSS are no longer displayed.

Activate DCS scanning

1. Push the MENU key seven times: SC and DCS 00 are flashing.

2. Start the scanning by means of the sort key.

Deactivate DCS scanning

To deactivate scanning you push the PTT key: scanning will stop and

SC and DCS are no longer displayed.

Call tone

Push the call key call to send out a tone call that is received by the

partner station. TX is displayed. You can select between 10 different

call tone melodies.

Selection of the call tone

1. Push the MENU key eight times: the symbol CA is displayed and

o1 is flashing.

2. Select one of 10 different call tones by means of the sort key.

3. Validate by means of the PTT key: the display turns to normal mode.

Roger beep

After release of the PTT key the radio set transmits automatically a

beep tone. This is a signal for your partner that you have finished your

message and that the channel is free for an answer (helpful if trans-

mission is interfered).
