radiowillreturntothetalkgroupthatwasactivewhenthedynamicregrouprequestwas
sent.
Dynamicregroupingisnotpreservedbetweenpoweroff‐on.
FAILSOFTOPERATION
Iftheradioisunabletoaccessthetrunkingsystem,itcanbeprogrammedtoenterfailsoft
mode.InfailsoftmodetheradioswitchestoaprogrammedconventionalP25oranalog
channel.
Failsoftmodeisenteredwheneitheratrunkingchannelisselectedandtheradiofailsto
registerwiththetrunkingcontroller,ortheradiolosescommunicationswiththetrunking
controller.
INSTALLATION
TheCM1039issuppliedwithaslim,slide‐onmountingcradle.Thecradlecanbescrewedor
boltedinanyconvenientlocationinyourvehicle(underorabovethedash,onthecentre
console,etc)usingthemountingslotsprovidedinthebase.TheCM1039containsabuilt‐in
speakerandcanbeinstalledwiththespeakerfacingupwardsordownwardstoensurethe
receiveraudioisprojectedclearly.Alternatively,theCM1039canbefittedwithan
extensionspeakerifrequired.Wheninstallingtheradio,avoidmountingitclosetoheaters
orairconditioners.Screwthemountingcradletoafirmsurface.SlidetheCM1039intothe
cradlefromthefrontuntilitclicksintoplace.Finally,plugthepowerandantennaleadsto
thesocketsprovidedontherearoftheradio.
MountingtheCradle
