9.6.4 Setting up the Group Call Ringer
The GX1600 and GX1700 have the capability to turn off the group call ringer.
1. Press and hold the

soft key, then select “
DSC
BEEP
” with the / key.
4. Press the
soft key.
5. Press the
/ key to select “
Group
”,
then press the soft key.
6. Press the
/ key to select “
Off
”.
7. Press the
soft key to store the
selected setting, then press the soft
key three times to return to radio operation.
To re-enable the ringer, repeat the above procedure, pressing the
/
key to select “
On
” in step 6 above.
NOTE
The GX1600 and GX1700 may turn on and off the call ringer of the
all ships, position request, and position report calls as well as the
individual and group calls.
