7. After the GROUP CALL is transmitted, all the
radios in the group will switch to the desig-
nated channel.
8. Listen to the channel to make sure it is not
busy, then key the microphone and call the
other vessels you desire to communicate with.
Manual Calling
You may enter a Group MMSI number manually to contact without the Setting
up the Group call number.
1. Press the
[
CALL
(
MENU
)]
key. The “

menu will appear.
2. Turn the CHANNEL selector knob to select
“
GroupGroup
GroupGroup
Group.” (To cancel, select “
ExitExit

CHANNEL selector knob or press

3. Press the
[
ENT
]
key. The transceiver will beep,
and the “
Group DirectoryGroup Directory
Group DirectoryGroup Directory
Group Directory” will appear.
4. Turn the CHANNEL selector knob to select
“

Manual,” then press the
[
ENT
]
key.
5. Turn the CHANNEL selector knob to scroll
through numbers, 0-9. To enter the desired
number and move one space to the right press the
[
ENT
]
key. Repeat this procedure until all nine
space of the MMSI number which you want to
contact are entered.
6. If a mistake was made entering in the MMSI
number repeat pressing the
[
H/L
(
NAV
)]
key until the
wrong nunber is selected, then move the channel
knob to correct the entry.
7. When finish the entering the MMSI number,
press and hold the
[
ENT
]
key.
8. Press the
[
ENT
]
key to transmit the Group Call
signal.
9. After the GROUP CALL is transmitted, all the radios
in the group will switch to the designated channel.
10. Listen to the channel to make sure it is not busy,
then key the microphone and call the other vessels
you desire to communicate with.
