Brush Mower


Mower will not move
forward or reverse
1. Brake ON
2. Bypass levers pulled out
1. Release brake on control panel
2. Ensure bypass pins are retracted
Cannot move mower
when the engine is o
1. Bypass not engaged 1. Pull le and right bypass pins and set them in
slots in the chassis (p. 11)
Engine is overheang 1. Dirt in the fuel line
2. Dirty air lter
3. Low engine oil
4. Fouled spark plug
5. Misuse of the mower
6. Dull blades
7. Spindle bearing failure
1. Replace fuel lter and ush tank
2. Clean or replace the air lter
3. Add engine oil
4. Replace spark plug
5. Mow slower, wait for grass to dry out
6. Sharpen cung blades
7. Take in for service
Grass not cut smoothly or
cleanly
1. Dull blades
2. Mowing too fast for condions
3. Grass is wet or bent over
4. Blades are bent
5. Tire pressure not equal
6. Deck is set at uneven heights
7. Blades are set upside down
8. Excessive grass and debris build
up underneath the deck
1. Sharpen blades
2. Slow down while cung
3. Let grass dry to stand up
4. Replace blades in sets
5. Add air pressure to low res
6. Set deck at equal heights
7. Take blades o and install correctly
8. Clean out debris
