RUNNING IN YOUR NEW AIR COMPRESSOR
Before running in ensure that the following has been
completed:
1. Oil level is correct, see page 10.
2. The air compressor has been fully assembled, see pages 10 – 12.
Your new air compressor requires running in:
1. Plug the power cord into a standard
240V AC power point.
2. Open the tank drain tap.
3. Start the air compressor using the
ON / OFF button.
4. Run the air compressor for approximately
1 minute.
This ensures that the air compressor is fully lubricated under no load.
After the 1 minute stop the air compressor using the
ON / OFF button. Allow to cool approximately 10 minutes. Recheck the
oil level and top up if needed, additional oil, SAE30, not included.
Before starting your air compressor again ensure that
the tank drain tap is closed.
COLD WEATHER STARTING
If the ambient temperature has dropped below 10°C your air
compressor may struggle to start. To ensure your air compressor
starts smoothly we recommend starting your air compressor in
the following way when cold for the first time.
1. Open drain tap and drain air completely
2. Leave drain tap open
3. Start air compressor, following steps 3, 4 and 5, from “USING
THE AIR COMPRESSOR”
4. Allow your air compressor to run with drain tap open for about
a minute
5. Close drain tap
6. Follow steps 6 through 12, from “USING THE AIR
COMPRESSOR” and your air compressor will operate correctly.
MOTOR RESET
Your air compressor is fitted with a motor reset button, Pic. 9B.
If your air compressor has failed to start or stopped suddenly there is
high likelihood that the motor reset button has been activated.
If the button is sticking out, follow these to reset;
1. Turn air compressor off at the pressure switch, push red button
down, see page 12 Pic. 9.
2. Allow to cool for about 2 minutes.
3. Push reset button in.
4 Turn air compressor on at pressure switch, lift red button up,
see page 12 Pic. 9.
Note: If this happens again without the air compressor running, follow
the instructions for Cold Weather Starting after resetting the motor
reset button.
USING THE AIR COMPRESSOR
Before starting, run through this simple list:
1. Oil level – CORRECT (top of red dot).
Please refer to diagram, Pic. 4, page 10.
2. Drain tap – close fully.
3. Check power lead for any damage. If damaged have replaced by
an authorised service centre.
4. Plug air compressor into a standard 240V 10Amp
AC power point and turn ON.
5. Lift the air compressor red button to turn ON,
see page 12, Pic. 9.
6. Allow the air compressor to fill the air tank.
7. Turn the power point OFF and disconnect the power lead from the
power point.
8. Connect your air hose and air tools.
9. Reconnect to the power lead to the power point and turn ON.
10. Turn your air compressor ON.
11. Set the outlet air pressure to match your air tools requirement.
12. Once turned and you begin using the connected air tools the
air compressor will start and stop without warning. This is
controlled by the pressure switch. These pressure settings are
factory set and should not be changed.
Pumping starts at (minimum) 115PSI and stops at (maximum) 145PSI.
Once the initial pump up stage has finished you can adjust the outlet
air pressure to the tools recommended working pressure and open
the air tap fully.
