When movingthe printer, removethe EP-L cartridgefrom the
printer.Afterremovingthecartridgefromtheprinter,replaceitin
thealuminumbaginwhichitwasoriginallypacked,orcoveritwith
a thickclothto protectit fromdirectlight.

Whenopeningtheprinter’ssidecover,donotstopitinthehalf-way.This
will open the protective shutter of the drum, and light will permanently
damage the drum.
Do notplace
anythingbesidethepnnter.Itmaydamagethemulti-purpose
tray when the tray is opened.
Donotputanythingin oron themulti-purposetrayexceptpaper,anddo
notpressthe
tray downward.
CAUTION: The partsof the printer shaded in the illustration below become
extremely hot when the printer is used. To avoid any ptmonal
injury, do not touch these parts when the printer is open.
Althoughthe printer’scover is closed while printing,it will need to be
openedwhenreplacingtheEP-Lcartridgewhenclearingpaperjams.Open
or closethe coverin the followingway:
