LOCATINGTHEPRINTER
Beforeyoustartunpackingandsettingup yourprinter,makesumthatyou
havea suitableplaceonwhichto locateit. By“a suitableplace”,wemean:

A firm,levelsurfacewhichis fairlyvibration-tie
Awayfmm excessiveheat(suchas directsunlight,heatem,etc)
Awayfromexcessivehumidity
Awayfromexcessivedust
Supplyitwith“clean”electricity.Donotconnectit to thesamecircuitas
a large,noise-producingappliancesuchas a refrigerator.
Make sure the line voltage is the voltage specifiedon the printer’s
identificationplate.
To disconnecttheprinter,the plughasto be disconnectedfromthe wall
socket,whichhas tobelocatedcloseto theprinter,andeasyto access.
InstaUthepMterwherethereissufficientmomforthepaperandanypaper
beingfed in or printedout.
Ifyouareconnectingyourprinterwithaparallelinterface,makesurethat
thecableiswithin2m(6ft)oftheprinter.AnRS-232connectionusingthe
optionalIS-8XLinterfacecartridgecanbemadeoverlongerdistances.
