bootChange
This section describes each line of the bootChange command and provides associated
usage.
Press Enter if you do not want to change an entry. To clear an entry on a line, type a
“.” (period). To change a line, type what is needed, then press Enter. On the “inet on
ethernet (e)” line, enter the Orion Readers IP address and subnet mask in the form
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.yyyyyyyy where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the Orion Readers IP address
in decimal format and yyyyyyyy is the Orion Readers subnet mask in hexadecimal
format.
Note: If the Orion Readers IP address and subnet mask are not entered in the format
as shown, the Orion Readers Ethernet communications may not work.
When you have finished entering the bootChange, the screen displays the following
information:
boot device Required, must be motfec0
processor number Required, must be 0
host name Required, must be lcHost
file name Not required, should be left as is or blank
inet on ethernet (e)

Mandatory: Orion Reader’s IP address and subnet mask must be of the
form xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:yyyyyyyy
inet on backplane (b) Not required, should be left as is or blank
host inet (h) Required, should be set to IP address of host computer
gateway inet (g) Not required, should be left as is or blank
user (u) Not required, should be left as is or blank
ftp password (pw)
(blank = use rsh)
Not required, should be left as is or blank
flags (f) Required, should be 0x0
target name (tn) Not required, should be left as is or blank
startup script (s) Not required, should be left blank
other (o) Not required, should be left as is or blank
