B. Furnished products shall be listed or classified by third party agencies as suitable for the intended
purpose.
1.05 WARRANTY
A. Product is warranted free of defects in material and workmanship.
B. Product is warranted to perform the intended function within design limits.
PART 2 – PRODUCTS
2.01 GENERAL
A. Metallic outlet and switch boxes shall include the following product types:
1. Prefab boxes
2. Switch boxes
3. Thru-Wall boxes
4. Ceiling boxes (round and octagon)
5. Ceiling fan and light fixture bar hangers
6. 4” Square boxes
7. Utility boxes
8. Multi-gang boxes
9. Concrete/masonry boxes
10. Covers, brackets and accessories
B. Boxes and covers shall be UL Listed and CSA Certified.

2.03 DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
A. Metallic boxes and covers shall be made from pre-galvanized steel .062” minimum thickness.
B. Metallic brackets shall be pre-galvanized steel or zinc plated cold roll spring steel.
C. Metallic boxes shall have standard trade size knockouts to support attachment of cable and conduit
connectors.
D. Metallic boxes shall have a 10-32 tapped hole at the bottom for attaching a separate ground wire.
E. Metallic boxes shall have pre-installed screws in raised position to support cover installation.
F. Metallic square boxes shall have eccentric knockouts for improved conduit fitting/locknut to box
contact.
