 Point to Point: Configures the serial port for point-to-point operation. See section 4.3.1 for more
information on point-to-point network operation.
 Broadcast: Configures the serial port for point-to-multipoint broadcast operation. See section
4.3.2 for more information on point-to-multipoint broadcast network operation.
 Hayes Dialup: Configures the serial port for Hayes dial-up operation. See section 4.3.3 for more
information on Hayes dial-up network operation.
 Modbus: Configures the serial port for the Modbus SCADA protocol. See section 4.3.4 for more
information on SCADA protocol network operation.
 Honeywell: Configures the serial port for the Honeywell SCADA protocol.
 DNP3: Configures the serial port for the DNP3 SCADA protocol using the FT3 frame formal
(LPDU).
 TDE: Configures the serial port for the Introl systems TDE protocol.
 Disabled: Disables any transmission of data though the selected serial port.
