Point to Multipoint (+Repeater)
In Figure 9-6 a setup is shown where a master routinely calls a number of slaves at different times. The
master is communicating with a transceiver designated as a repeater/slave that is connected to a remote
instrument in the field. Since this instrument is placed in an elevated location, the transceiver may also be
used as a repeater when it is not used as a slave. At any time the master may call any of the slaves, establish a
connection, and retrieve and send data. Note, point to multi-point (Dialup) is the only mode available when
the radio is configured (using the menu) as a repeater.
