Networking 3 or more units (Diagram 2) front covers are removed
1. Besureallunitsareswitched“OFF”andfrontcoversareremoved.
2. DIPswitchSW8shouldbe“ON”onalltheunits(eachunitexpectstobeconnectedtoanotherunit).
3. Connectthe“NetworkCOM”terminalsbyinsertingawireintounit#1,andlinkingthistothesame
terminalonunit#2.Nowdothesamebyconnectinganadditionalwiretothe“NetworkCOM”
terminalonunit#2,andlinkingthistothesameterminalonunit#3.Repeatthisforsubsequent
unitsuntilallunitsarelinked.
4. Insertawireintothe“NetworkOut”terminalonunit#1,andlinkthistothe“NetworkIn”terminalon
unit#2.Nowinsertawireintothe“NetworkOut”terminalonunit#2andlinkthistothe“Network
In”terminalonunit#3.Repeatthisstepforeachsubsequentunit.
5. Important!Onthenalunit(e.g.unit#3)ensurethatthe“NetworkOut”terminalislinkedbacktothe
“NetworkIn”terminalonunit#1,creatingaloop.(ItisnotnecessarytodothisstepfortheCOM
wire.)
6. Turnalltheunits“ON”usingthemasterkeyswitch.
TEST
7. Unit#1,depresstheoperatingelement.Thiswillsendtheunitintoalarmcondition,causing
theactivationagtodropintoviewandtheintegralalarmtosound.Unit#2&unit#3willalso
immediatelytriggerintoalarm.
8. Resettingthenetworkedunitscanonlybedonebymanuallyresettingtheoriginallyactivatedunit
(showingtheactivationag,inthiscaseunit#1)usingtheresetkey.Thiswillreturntheotherunits
backinto“standby”condition.
