5 Preparing AP Belt Bag with Connecting Cable for Operation
5.1 Preparing AP Belt Bag with Connecting Cable
for Operation
Perform the following steps before starting work:
Check the battery, @ 10.
Recharge the battery fully as described in the instruction
manual for the STIHL AL 101, 300, 500 chargers.
Clean the AP belt bag with connecting cable, @ 14.1.
Clean contacts of the connecting cable, @ 14.3
Make sure the following components are in a safe
condition:
AP belt bag with connecting cable, @ 4.5.1.
Battery, @ 4.5.2.
If you cannot carry out these steps: Do not use the AP belt
bag with connecting cable and contact your STIHL
servicing dealer.
6.1 Displaying State of Charge
Press the button (1).
The LEDs (5) glow green for about 5 seconds and indicate
the state of charge.
If the LED on the right flashes green: Charge the battery.
6.2 LEDs on Battery
The LEDs can show the state of charge or malfunctions. The
LEDs can glow or flash green or red.
The state of charge is indicated when the LEDs glow or flash
green.
If the LEDs glow or flash red: Troubleshooting, @ 16.
There is a malfunction in the cordless product or battery.
6.3 Beeps
The beeps can confirm contact between the AP belt bag with
connecting cable and the battery or indicate malfunctions.
A short beep indicates that the battery is properly seated in
the belt bag. The AP belt bag with connecting cable is ready
for operation.
A short beep also sounds when the cordless product is
switched on again after a work break of about 10 minutes.
If short beeps sound in quick succession:
Troubleshooting, @ 16.
There is a malfunction in the AP belt bag with connecting
cable, battery or cordless product.
