A battery is not fully charged when it ships from the factory. STIHL recommends that you fully charge the backpack battery before using it the first time. Operate the charger indoors in a dry room. For optimum performance, STIHL recommends operating the charger within an ambient temperature range of 41 °F to 104 °F (5 °C to 40 °C).
