connecting cord”, observe the
following:
Never charge a battery in the “belt
bag AP with connecting cord”.
Never connect multiple “belt bags
AP with connecting cord” together.
Never use a “belt bag AP with
connecting cord” or a bag to carry
objects other than a STIHL AP
battery.
2.2 Requirements concerning the
user
WARNING
Using a STIHL product for outdoor
work can be strenuous. The user
must be in good physical and mental
health. To reduce the risk of injuries
due to fatigue and loss of control,
observe the following:
Before using the product, check
with a doctor whether your state of
health may be compromised by
strenuous work.
Do not operate the product under
the influence of any substance
(drugs, alcohol, medicines, etc.)
that could impair your sight,
balance, dexterity or judgment.
Be alert. Do not operate the product
if you are tired. Take a break if you
feel tired.
Do not allow minors to use the
battery belt and harness.
2.3 Using the battery belt and
harness
WARNING
Misuse and improper use can result in
injuries and damage to property.
The battery belt and harness
should only be used as described in
this Instruction Manual.
Do not modify the battery belt or
harness.
A battery belt or harness that has
been modified, damaged, incorrectly
adjusted or not properly maintained
can result in malfunctioning and
increases the risk of serious injuries
or death.
Never attempt to modify the battery
belt and harness in any way.
Check that nylon belts and other
components of the battery belt and
harness are in good condition and
undamaged. If any of the
components are worn, weakened,
cracked or otherwise damaged,
contact a STIHL approved dealer to
have them replaced. Do not use the
battery belt and harness until the
problem has been corrected.
Check that the “belt bag AP with
connecting cord” and the bag are
correctly and securely fastened to
the battery belt before starting
work.
To reduce the risk of injury from
unauthorized use or unintended
activation:
Never leave the battery belt and
harness unattended if a battery is
attached to the battery belt or if the
“belt bag AP with connecting cord”
fastened to the battery belt has a
STIHL product connected to it.
To reduce the risk of serious physical
injury due to loss of control during
operation:
Read and follow all the safety
instructions and instructions on
using the electric power tool
connected to the “belt bag AP with
connecting cord”.
The user must be able to remove the
battery belt and harness quickly in an
emergency. In an emergency,
operate the quick-release buckle to
open and remove the battery belt and
harness.
Never pass the battery belt through
the belt loops on your work
trousers, as that makes it much
more difficult to remove the battery
belt, the “belt bag AP with
connecting cord” or the bag in an
emergency situation.
To reduce the risk of injury in an
emergency, practice opening the
quick-release buckle on your hip
belt and laying down the battery
belt and harness on the ground. To
avoid damage, do not drop the
battery belt and harness on the
ground when practicing removal.
Do not throw batteries onto the
ground.
