N Set the choke knob (4) to:
N Press the manual fuel pump
bulb (5) at least five times.
Cranking
N Place the unit on the ground so that
it is secure.
N Put your left foot on the handle
frame.
N Left hand on the handle frame.
N Pull the starter grip slowly with your
right hand until you feel it engage
and then give it a brisk strong pull.
NOTICE
Do not pull out the starter rope all the
way – it might otherwise break.
N Do not let the starter grip snap back.
Guide it slowly back into the housing
so that the starter rope can rewind
properly.
N Continue cranking.
When engine begins to fire
N Set the choke knob to e and
N continue cranking until the engine
runs.
As soon as the engine runs
N Blip the throttle trigger (2) the slide
control (3) moves to the run
position F and the engine settles
down to idling speed.
NOTICE
Since the auger brake is still engaged,
the engine must be returned to idling
speed immediately or the clutch might
otherwise be damaged.
