: Place sprocket cover in position.
Engage guide lugs in holes in motor
housing and check that the teeth of
the adjusting wheel and tensioning
gear are meshing.
: If necessary, turn the adjusting
wheel (13) slightly until the sprocket
cover can be pushed flush against
the motor housing.
: Swing out the handle (14) so that it
snaps into position.
: Engage wingnut and tighten it down
moderately.
: Fold down the handle.
Models with side or front
tensioner
Retensioning during cutting work:
: Disconnect plug from power supply.
: Loosen the nut.
: Hold the bar nose up.
: Use a screwdriver to turn the
tensioning screw (1 or 2) clockwise
until chain fits snugly against the
underside of the bar.
: While still holding bar nose up,
tighten down the nut firmly.
Go to “Checking Chain Tension”.
Models with quick chain
tensioner
: Disconnect plug from power supply.
: Swing up the handle of the
wingnut (2). Loosen the wingnut.
: Turn adjusting wheel (1) clockwise
as far as stop.
: Tighten down the wingnut (2) firmly
by hand.
: Fold down the handle of the
wingnut.
Go to “Checking Chain Tension”.
