4 Safety Symbols on the Products
4.2 Battery
The following safety symbols are found on the AP series
battery:
Batteries sold separately.
To reduce the risk of eye injury, always wear
proper eye protection, @ 5.5.
To reduce the risk of personal injury or property
damage from a short circuit, fire or explosion,
keep the lawn mower dry. Protect it from rain,
water, liquids and damp conditions. Never
immerse the lawn mower in water or other
liquids, @ 5.6.
To reduce the risk of laceration injuries, keep
hands, feet and other body parts away from the
mowing blade. Never put hands or feet under the
lawn mower, particularly during operation. Never
attempt to clear clippings or debris from the
mowing blade or discharge chutes without first
switching off the mower and removing the fuse
key and battery, @ 5.7.4.
DANGER - Keep Hands and Feet Away.
To reduce the risk of injury, keep hands and feet
away from rotating parts. Do not operate unless
discharge covers or grass bag are securely in
place. If damaged, replace discharge covers
immediately, @ 5.7.4.
The rotating mowing blade may throw or fling
foreign objects directly or by ricochet. To reduce
the risk of personal injury from thrown objects,
inspect the mowing area and remove stones,
pieces of metal, glass, wire and other objects that
could be thrown by the mowing blade, @ 5.7.4.
To reduce the risk of personal injury
from thrown objects, keep bystanders
at least 50 ft. (15 m) away, @ 5.7.4.
To reduce the risk of injury from loss of control,
mow parallel to the slope, never up or down.
Take particular care when changing direction on
slopes, @ 5.7.4.
To reduce the risk of injury or property damage
from unintended activation, remove the battery
any time the lawn mower is not in use, @ 5.7.
To reduce the risk of injury, follow the specified
safety precautions.
Read and follow all safety precautions in the
battery's instruction manual and the manual for
the STIHL tool powered by this battery. Improper
use can lead to serious or fatal personal injury or
property damage.
To reduce the risk of personal injury or property
damage from fire, explosion or burns, including
chemical burns, do not disassemble, crush,
drop, damage or heat above 212 °F (100 °C).
Never expose to fire or incinerate, @ 6.
To reduce the risk of personal injury or property
damage from fire, use and store only within an
ambient temperature range of 14 °F to
122 °F (- 10 °C to 50 °C), @ 6.
To reduce the risk of personal injury or property
damage from a short circuit, fire or explosion,
keep dry. Never immerse in water or other
liquids, @ 6.
