24.1 Lawn Mower and Battery
24 Troubleshooting Guide
Always remove the fuse key and battery before carrying out any inspection, cleaning or maintenance.
Condition LEDs on
Battery
Possible Cause Remedy
Lawn mower does
not start when
switched on.
No electrical contact
between lawn mower
and battery.
► Remove the battery, @ 13.2.
► Visually check the electrical contacts in the battery
compartment and on the battery.
► Reinsert the battery, @ 14.1.
1 LED flashes
green.
Battery has low
charge.
► Charge the battery, @ 9.2.
1 LED glows
red.
Battery too hot / too
cold.
► Allow the battery to warm up or cool down gradually at
ambient temperatures of about 50 °F to 68 °F (10 °C to
20 °C).
4 LEDs flash
red.
Malfunction in
battery.
► Remove the battery and reinsert it, @ 14.
► Switch on the lawn mower, @ 15.1.
► If the LEDs continue to flash, do not attempt to use.
The battery has a malfunction and must be replaced.
3 LEDs glow
red.
lawn mower too hot. ► Allow the lawn mower to cool down.
3 LEDs flash
red.
Malfunction in lawn
mower.
► Remove the battery and reinsert it, @ 14
► Switch on the lawn mower, @ 15.1.
► If the LEDs still flash, do not attempt to use.
The lawn mower has a malfunction and must be checked by
a servicing dealer.
Mowing blade is
blocked.
► Increase the cutting height, @ 18.1.
► Clean the lawn mower, @ 22.
► Switch on the lawn mower in lower grass.
