See Figures 1 - 3.
WaRNING:
The kettle with it contents may be heavy and/or hot. Use caution when placing or removing
the kettle from the grill to prevent serious personal injury.
The cast iron kettle and lid are pre-seasoned. Before use, rinse the kettle with hot water and
dry thoroughly.
To prevent food from sticking, apply a light coating of oil to the kettle’s interior surface, then
add food.
Using the insert removal tool (not included) or heat-resistant oven mitts, lift and remove the
grate insert from your grill.
Place the kettle in the hole from where the grate insert was removed and cook food as de-
sired.
NOTE: For best results, begin with low heat and slowly increase the temperature as needed.
When food is done, remove the kettle from the grill using heat-resistant oven mitts.

Always wear heat-resistant oven mitts on both hands when removing the kettle from the grill
or when lifting the lid during cooking. Failure to do so could result in serious personal injury.
CLEaNING THE CaST IRON kETTLE
Allow the kettle to cool completely.
Remove the kettle from the grill and clean using a stiff nylon brush and hot water. For best
results, the use of soap is not recommended. Do not clean in dishwasher.
Dry thoroughly. Do not allow the kettle and lid to air dry, as this can allow rust to form.
Apply a light coating of oil to both the kettle and lid before storing.
If food begins to stick to the surface or rust spots begin to form, re-season your cast iron
cookware as required. Visit www.stokgrills.com for more information.
When not in use, store the kettle in an enclosed area where it will not be exposed to the
elements. Place a folded paper towel between the kettle and lid to prevent moisture from
collecting in the kettle during storage.
