Use and Care Manual
POUR THE WHITE MIXTURE ON THE
SURFACE
Pour the white tinted epoxy on the center of
your surface, roughly 3 oz of mixed epoxy per
square foot of surface area.
SPREAD THE EPOXY
Use a 1/8″ x 1/8″ square notch trowel to evenly
spread the white epoxy. Cover the entire
surface of the countertops with the white
metallic tinted epoxy.
DAB THE EPOXY
Use a 2″ angled nylon paint brush in a tapping
motion on the surface of the countertops to
remove the trowel lines and begin marbleizing
the epoxy.

APPLY BONDING PRIMER
Application of a urethane-modified acrylic
primer prior to the undercoat is highly
recommended to ensure an adequate bond to
the existing surface. Roll on 2 thin layers of
bonding primer (sold separately) with a 6′′
microfiber mini paint roller. Allow it to dry
between coats. Let it dry for 3 hours after
second coat. Primer is available at your local
hardware store or at
www.StoneCoatCountertops.com
APPLY STONE COAT COUNTERTOPS
UNDERCOAT
Roll on Stone Coat Countertops Undercoat
with a 9″ x 1/4″ nap woven microfiber paint
roller. Let dry to the touch about 30–90
minutes. REPEAT.

COMBINE EPOXY AND HARDENER
Prepare a clean 2.5- or 5-quart graduated
mixing bucket (with measurements). Pour in
Stone Coat Countertops Part A epoxy. Add
equal parts Stone Coat Countertops Part B
hardener. Mix using a drill with a 1-gallon
paint-mixer for approximately 2 minutes. Stir
thoroughly around the edges and all areas of
the bucket. Scrape any excess material off of
sides and mix. You can also use a large wood
paint stirring stick for 5 minutes.
DIVIDE THE MIXTURE
Once the epoxy has been thoroughly mixed,
divide the mixture into smaller disposable
plastic containers depending on desired effect
from the carrara marble kit recipes chart on
the following page.
PHASE 3 EPOXY PREPARATION
8
ADD COLOR AND STIR
Add epoxy colors as desired into the mixing cups
using metallic powders, epoxy dyes, and glitters.
Add 1 tbsp of powder or glitter per 16 oz of epoxy.
Mix additives thoroughly with a mixing stick. For
best results, ensure metallic powders are mixed
completely.
• Epoxy has a working time of 50 minutes before it
starts to thicken and cure; therefore, Phase 3 & 4
must be completed within this time frame. This time
can be reduced when working in temperatures
above 80°F. Keep epoxy stored in a climate-controlled
room until use.
• Stone Coat Countertops uses a 1:1 mixing ratio by
volume, which means you mix equal amounts of
part A (epoxy) and Part B (hardener) regardless of kit
size. As long as you measure and mix equal parts of
A and B, you should see your best results.
