4. During this step, the calibration of the IMU unit is performed, it is then recommended to keep

the handheld unit steady. After a while, you will be able to see the real-time preview appearing

(NOTE: Cube-slam 1.4.7.4 shows a yellow-colored preview, while older versions show a height-

colored preview. This change was applied to improve visibility): the initialization is complete. To

help the scanner recognize landmarks which will help the SLAM algorithm, slightly move the

handheld part up/down and left/right:

5. At this point, turn on the handheld part by pressing and holding the power button a few seconds,

until it starts rotating; after a few seconds, you can begin your scan and move.

6. Once you have covered all the desired features/environments, stop the scanning by clicking on

“Stop” button
