XH120 Handheld Laser Scanner provides a simple and quick way to obtain 3D point cloud data, outdoor
or indoor, significantly improving work efficiency and speed compared to the use of a traditional 3D
standing laser scanner.
Laser scanning is an automatic process during which real objects are surveyed and sampled almost
completely to determine their location, size, orientation, and shape.
The SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) algorithm used to process raw laser scan data into a
3D point cloud relies on features present in the scanning environment, which are scanned repeatedly when
the operator passes through the scanning environment.
