4. First Aid Measures
Inhalation: If symptoms of exposure develop, remove to fresh air. Seek medical attention if symptoms persist.
Skin Contact: Rinse skin with plenty of water. If skin irritation develops, seek medical attention.
Eye Contact: Flush eyes with plenty of water for 20 minutes. Seek immediate medical attention.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting unless directed to by a doctor or physician. If the victim is fully conscious, have
them rinse their mouth with water. Get medical assistance by calling a doctor or poison center. Never give anything
by mouth to a person who is unconscious or drowsy.
Most Important Symptoms: Eye contact causes irritation with possible corneal damage. May cause mild skin and
respiratory irritation. May cause damage to kidneys, and liver through prolonged or repeated ingestion.
Indication of Immediate Medical Attention/Special Treatment: Immediate medical attention is required for direct
eye contact.
5. Firefighting Measures
Suitable (and Unsuitable) Extinguishing Media: Use water fog, foam, carbon dioxide or dry chemical. Cool fire
exposed containers with water.
Specific Hazards Arising from the Chemical: Closed containers may rupture if exposed to extreme heat. Thermal
decomposition will generate Oxides of carbon and unknown materials.
Special Protective Equipment and Precautions for Fire-fighters: Firefighters should wear positive pressure self-
contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing for fires in areas where chemicals are used or stored.
