CAUTION:
The ProTac HL
®
USB Headlamp provides a powerful beam.
When operated for a long time on high, it will get uncom-
fortably warm. This is NORMAL and is not a defect. Any
LED headlamp of similar size and performance will pro-
duce similar amounts of heat during operation. The only
way to reduce operating heat is to SIGNIFICANTLY lower
the output, or increase the size of the headlamp. While
this heating may trigger the drop reflex if an unattended
hot light is picked up, the temperature does not present
a burn hazard.
WARNING:
The ProTac HL
®
USB Headlamp utilizes a high lumen LED
that can get very hot. Never place the ProTac HL
®
USB
Headlamp face-down against a flat surface or against any
flammable object. Transport or store the ProTac HL
®
USB
Headlamp in a way that minimizes the chance it can acci-
dentally be turned on.
BATTERY INSTALLATION/REMOVAL:
Remove the side switch cap. Place one Streamlight #74175
battery into the tube, positive end first and replace the
switch cap.
The light will also function if you install one Streamlight
#22101 “Li Ion 18650 protected cylindrical 3.7V 2600mAh
‘button top’ rechargeable battery” that has its own
charging cradle system. NOTE – This cell will not charge
in the light.
GENERAL OPERATION:
The ProTac HL
®
USB Headlamp features a programmable
switch with momentary operation (light press or tap)
and constant on operation (press until click). The light is
shipped from the factory in the default High-Medium-Low
program.
• High: Tap and hold; click to lock on; click again for off.
• Medium: Fast double-tap (within 0.4 seconds) and hold;
click to lock on; click again for off.
• Low: Fast triple-tap (within 0.4 seconds per tap) and hold;
click to lock on; click again for off.
ACCESSING OTHER PROGRAMS:
The ProTac HL
®
USB Headlamp features a TEN-TAP
®
pro-
grammable switch allowing the user to select one of three
different programs. To change to the next program, start-
ing from the “Off” position, tap the switch rapidly 9 times
(within 0.4 seconds per tap) and hold it down the 10th
time. Continue holding the switch until the light turns off
(approximately 1 second), then release the switch. Avail-
able programs are High-Medium-Low (Factory Default),
High Only or Low-Medium-High.
CHARGING THE STREAMLIGHT LITHIUM ION BATTERY:
To charge the included Streamlight lithium ion battery
(Part #74175), pull the rubber plug from the micro USB
port on the bottom of the light to expose the charge port
and charge indicator LED.
Using the supplied cord, plug the micro USB connector
into the mating socket on the light. Then, plug the standard
USB connector into a USB port on your computer or other
USB accessible port.
If you have Streamlight’s optional USB/AC charger
(#22071), plug the USB connector into the light and charge
the light using AC power.
CHARGE INDICATION LED:
Light features a charge indictor LED:
- Red LED: Charging
- Green LED: Fully Charged
CHARGE TIME:
The light has a digital control circuit that prevents over-
charging. The battery fully recharges in about 5 hours with
the Streamlight AC/USB (#22071) charger and charges the
battery in the light.
NOTE: The 5 hour charge time assumes 1,000 mA output
of the AC/USB charger. (Most computer USB power ports
range from 100 to 500 mA.)
Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime Warranty
Streamlight warrants this product to be free of defects
for a lifetime of use except for batteries and bulbs,
abuse and normal wear. We will repair, replace or refund
the purchase price of this product should we determine it
to be defective. This limited lifetime warranty also excludes
rechargeable batteries, chargers, switches and electronics
which have a 2 year warranty with proof of purchase.

PRECAUCIÓN:
El faro USB ProTac HL
®
proporciona un potente haz. Cuan-
do funciona durante un periodo prolongado en modo alto,

INSTALACIÓN/EXTRACCIÓN DE LA PILA:
Retire la base del interruptor lateral. Coloque una pila

ACCESO A OTROS PROGRAMAS:

dispone de un interruptor
programable de diez pulsaciones TEN-TAP
®
que permite
al usuario seleccionar uno de entre tres programas difer-
entes. Para cambiar al siguiente programa, comenzando
desde la posición de apagado, pulse el interruptor con
rapidez 9 veces (no deben transcurrir más de 4 milésimas
de segundo entre cada pulsación) y mantenga pulsado el
interruptor la décima vez. Mantenga el interruptor pulsado
hasta que la luz se apague (aproximadamente 1 segun-

MISE EN PLACE ET/OU RETRAIT DE PILES :
Retirez l’embout d’interrupteur latéral. Placez une pile
Streamlight n° 74175 dans le tube, extrémité positive
en premier et remettez l’embout d’interrupteur en place.
Le lampe fonctionnera également si on installe une « pile
rechargeable Streamlight n° 22101 Li Ion 18650 à ‘bouton
supérieur’ cylindrique protégé 3,7 V 2 600 mAh » qui a son
propre système de support de chargement. NOTE – Cette
cellule ne chargera pas dans la lampe.

• Moyen : Tapez rapidement à deux reprises (en moins de
0,4 secondes) et maintenez ; cliquez pour verrouiller sur
« on » ; cliquez à nouveau pour « off ».
• Bas : Tapez rapidement à trois reprises (en moins de
