There are multiple ventilation choices available for the range hood:

Venting through the roof:
If you choose to vent
through the roof, you will
need to make an extra
cutout of 5.25''(133mm) to
accommodate the duct
passing through the
ceiling.
Venting through the wall:
When venting through the
wall, an extra cutout of 5.25''
(133mm) will need to be made
to allow for the duct to be
properly connected outside.
Ductless Ventilation:
No additional ductwork is
required for a ductless
installation. The air will
circulate through the range
hood and exit out into the
kitchen.
