Installation
If channel 38 is not compatible with your TV, for example if it is already being used as
your VCR’s output channel, or for a terrestrial channel, you may find you cannot tune
your TV to your set-top box because of interference.
Changing the RF output channel is covered in the setup section (see page 28).
RF channels may also be known as UHF channels.
Making the installation settings
Choosing your country
If you have completed the installation instructions up to this point, the Countries
screen is displayed on your TV screen. (See page 12 for a picture of the Countries
screen.)
1. Take your remote control. If you have not already inserted the batteries, do so
now (see page 3).
2. Press
U or D until the country you want is highlighted, then press OK.
A Welcome screen now appears.
3. Press
U or D to select your LNB type,
then press OK. Or, press back to
redisplay the Countries screen.
Note: It is important that, while you are
configuring a set-top box for a SatCR (Satellite
Channel Router) installation, any other
installed set-top boxes must be disconnected
from the mains power supply.
It is also important that each set-top box in a
SatCR installation has a unique number, to
avoid conflicting with other installed set-top
boxes. Therefore, if you selected ‘SatCR LNB’,
you must now choose a suitable Receiver
Number (1 to 4).
Press L or R to display the number you want,
then press OK.
You must now select the installation mode.
If you have:
u one LNB only, directed at Sirius, or
u two LNBs only, directed at Thor and Sirius,
you can carry out an ‘Automatic’ installation.
If you have any other LNB set-up, you must carry out a ‘Manual’ installation.
3. Use
L or R to highlight the correct installation mode, then press OK.
u If you selected ‘Automatic’, next see the section: ‘Checking the signal and
searching for channels’ on page 14.
u If you selected ‘Manual’, next see the section ‘Setting the antenna
configuration and choosing a satellite’ on page 14.
