Switching between digital satellite TV and
terrestrial TV
If your TV automatically shows digital satellite TV whenever your set-top box is
switched on, you can use your remote control to switch between digital satellite TV
and terrestrial TV.
This is also useful if you are using your VCR, for example to record a digital channel,
but you want to watch a terrestrial channel.
To switch between digital satellite TV and terrestrial TV, press the red colour
button on your remote control. (Please do not press the S button - this will
switch your set-top box off.)
Note
In order for this feature to work, your digital set-top box must be connected to your TV via a
SCART lead, and your TV must also be receiving the terrestrial channels from your TV aerial. For
information about connecting up, see pages 8 and 9.
Some TVs may not allow you to use this feature.
Error messages
If there is a temporary problem with a channel you are watching, you may see an
error message on your TV screen. If this happens, you can still change channel, in the
usual way, to a channel that is not experiencing problems.
